GARY C DEBES AWARD

Awarded to an individual who, in the eyes of the Director and Regional Chair (DRC), in recognition and appreciation of their exemplary leadership dedication and commitment to Region III.

REGIONAIRE AWARD

Awarded to an individual who, in the eyes of the Director and Regional Chair (DRC), has shown commitment to Region III through years of service.

ACE AWARD

Awarded to the Chapter President who has performed the best throughout the past year; Basic requirements to be considered for this award include: 

  • Regular communications with the Director and Regional Chair (DRC)
  • Reporting Presidential Award of Excellence (PAOE) on a monthly basis
  • Meeting Presidential Award of Excellence (PAOE) requirements throughout a wide range of categories.

MEMBERSHIP PROMOTION TOP GUN AWARD

Recognize the Top Region III Membership Promotion Chair that have shown real effort in all areas of the committee’s goal.  Three basic requirements to be considered for this award include: 

  • Attendance at the Chapter’s Regional Conference (CRC) and Centralized Training
  • Goal setting with the Regional Vice Chair (RVC)
  • Regular communication with the Regional Vice Chair (RVC)

MEMBERSHIP PROMOTION CO-PILOT AWARD

  • Attendance at the Chapter’s Regional Conference (CRC) and Centralized Training
  • Goal setting with the Regional Vice Chair (RVC)
  • Regular communication with the Regional Vice Chair (RVC)

RESEARCH PROMOTION TOP DOG AWARD

Recognize the Top Region III Research Promotion Chair that has performed the best during the year. Three basic requirements to be considered for this award include: 

  • Attendance at the Chapter’s Regional Conference (CRC) and Centralized Training
  • Goal setting with the Regional Vice Chair (RVC)
  • Regular communication with the Regional Vice Chair (RVC)

RESEARCH PROMOTION PITBULL AWARD

Recognize the Runner UP Region III Research Promotion Chair that has performed the best during the year.  Three basic requirements to be considered for this award include: 

  • Attendance at the Chapter’s Regional Conference (CRC) and Centralized Training
  • Goal setting with the Regional Vice Chair (RVC)
  • Regular communication with the Regional Vice Chair (RVC)

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE AWARD

Recognize the Top Region III Government Activities Chair that have shown real effort in all areas of the committee’s goal.  The basic requirements to be considered for this award include: 

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with state, local and municipal officials whose responsibilities relate to energy policy.
  • Promote the activities of the committee to the local chapter members.
  • Solicit input from chapter membership on the critical issues that impact membership.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS MAJORITY WHIP AWARD

Recognize the Runner Up Region III Government Activities Chair that have shown real effort in all areas of the committee’s goal.  The basic requirements to be considered for this award include: 

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with state, local and municipal officials whose responsibilities relate to energy policy.
  • Promote the activities of the committee to the local chapter members.

YOUNG ENGINEERS IN ASHRAE (YEA) RISING STAR

Young Engineer in ASHRAE (YEA) Chapter Chair who tries out new event ideas to engage YEA members.

YOUNG ENGINEERS IN ASHRAE (YEA) SHINING LIGHT AWARD

Young Engineer in ASHRAE (YEA) Chapter Chair goes above and beyond in developing strong and creative YEA events and programs for their chapter.  As well as increasing YEA members and participation.

CHAPTER TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER T.E.C. AWARD

  • T= Transfer of Technology
  • E= Education through
  • C= Chapter Membership

HISTORIAN OF THE YEAR

Recognize the Top Region III Historian Chair that have shown real effort in all areas of the committee’s goal.  Three basic requirements to be considered for this award include: 

  • Attendance at the Chapter’s Regional Conference (CRC).
  • Goal setting with the Regional Vice Chair (RVC)
  • Regular communication with the Regional Vice Chair (RVC)

Region III Sore-Foot Award

Awarded to the Chapter who has the largest representation at the CRC, based on the number of members present, multiplied by the number of miles traveled. The distance is calculated from Home Chapter City to Baltimore as determined by Google Maps.
